Compilation: Nutrition publications in 2023 supported by UNICEF India's nutrition team

In our collective mission to ensure every child receives the vital nutrition needed for optimal growth towards a healthy future; it is crucial to facilitate the development of effective nutrition policies and programmes. To consistently achieve this goal, strategic investments in research, evidence, data, and knowledge management play a pivotal role. As part of our commitment to making meaningful contributions in this field, UNICEF nutrition colleagues engage in extensive research, analyze evidence, derive insights, and document their work across various mediums.
This compilation represents a selection of papers and reports published throughout 2023, co-authored by nutrition colleagues or supported by UNICEF India. Covering a spectrum of topics—from addressing acute malnutrition, advocating for taxes on unhealthy foods, analysing parliamentary discourses on nutrition to formulating advertising policies on ultra-processed foods, nutrition for adolescents, and examining the role of women's collectives in rural contexts—this publications list comprises 20 pieces that delve into diverse facets of nutrition-related initiatives.
We aspire for this compilation to contribute to the process of tracking progress, identifying gaps, and measuring the impact of our interventions more effectively. This, in turn, can support the task of strategically directing our efforts and resources to reach those most in need.
