While working together in our joint endeavor towards a well-nourished India, we must ensure that our programmes are equitable. The causal framework of malnutrition recognises that, in addition to adequate and nutritious food and care, determinants like income, education, sanitation, employment, food and housing security and women empowerment directly influences nutrition and health outcomes. Therefore, it is imperative to improve these factors among the most vulnerable citizens of India. This issue of PoshanWeekly spotlights the Government of India’s (GOI) Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP) launched by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India on January 7, 2023. The ABP aims to ensure a more equitable India, by improving governance in the 500 most vulnerable blocks of the country to enhance the quality of life of citizens. The resources shared are from the ABP, which include a dynamic dashboard that allows to view the ranking and status of each indicator in every block, training and learning resources and best practices under the theme of health and nutrition.
