Co-authored by International Stillbirth Alliance (ISA), London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and US Agency for International Development (USAID), this action-focused guide brings together existing resources and practical guidance to inform planning, investments and programmes aimed at ending preventable stillbirths and improving care for all women and families who experience stillbirth. It also highlights case studies from a wide range of contexts to showcase what can be achieved.

The guide is aimed at a variety of stakeholders including the national and subnational governments, ministries of health, health professional organizations and health facility directors and managers. It may also be useful for parents, parent organizations, community leaders, individual health workers and others who advocate for stillbirth prevention and respectful and supportive care to be integrated along the continuum of maternal and child health care.
