The Government of Pakistan and the Provincial Governments of Baluchistan, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh aspire to establish and operationalize WASH Sector Regulatory Authorities in their respective regions. In collaboration with UNICEF, a study was conducted to assess gaps in WASH-related laws and policies, employing UNICEF’s WASHREG Methodology Approach. The study encompasses three distinct stages: a desk-based review, discussions with key stakeholders at federal and provincial levels, and a comprehensive workshop involving a wider array of stakeholders. The objective was to identify strategic priorities and recommend actions for federal and provincial governments across Pakistan.
