UNICEF, in collaboration with the Ministry of Hydraulics and Sanitation, is strengthening water supply systems in Niger. As part of the WASH program (2019-2021), a profitability study was conducted for water supply systems in selected regions (Dosso, Maradi, Tahoua, and Zinder). The study assesses infrastructure, management, and proposes scenarios for optimal delegation contracts. Key focus areas include transparent resource mobilization, service quality, continuity, and financing from internal resources, including the banking sector. The goal is to enhance water management and sustainability in these communities. This report summarizes the findings of this study.
