COVID-19 Risk Communication and Community Engagement- UNICEF India's Response
Geographies
India
For COVID-19, it is critical to communicate the known as well as the unknown aspects of the disease, steps being taken to alleviate the crisis, and the actions that need to be taken by individuals, and community at large, to contain the spread of virus.
Regular and proactive communication and engagement with the public and at-risk populations can help alleviate confusion and avoid misunderstandings. Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) helps inform people and makes them understand the health risks that they face. Effective RCCE helps transform complex scientific knowledge into simple, understandable and accessible information that is trustworthy.
