Case Study - Schools in Afghanistan adopt climate resilient water supply system

Climate change plays a significant role in the drying up of shallow groundwater sources in Zabul Province as a result schools in Zabul face difficulties in accessing safe WASH facilities. UNICEF partnered with the Human Resource Development Agency (HRDA) to implement climate resilient ‘Integrated School WASH Project’ that has helped maintain a healthy environment for the students in the schools.
